NIST Standards Coordination Office to Host Public Workshop on Conformity Assessment

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Standards Coordination Office is hosting a public workshop entitled “Conformity Assessment – Approaches and Best Practices” on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD.
The day long workshop will provide a forum for discussion on the current approaches to conformity assessment among Federal agencies and the private sector, and help inform a planned update to NIST’s Guidance on Federal Conformity Assessment Activities (15 C.F.R. Part 287) issued by NIST in 2000.
