Roundtable on Federal Government Engagement in Standards

On Jan. 25th, Sec. Locke, Aneesh Chopra, Pat Gallagher and Phil Weiser will lead a roundtable about federal government engagement in standards. The roundtable will feature a panel discussion including CTOs from leading companies (e.g., Motorola, Cisco, Silver Spring Networks, etc.) who will discuss private sector perspectives on federal government participation in standardization. They will also explore relevant issues described in the Federal Register Notice Request For Information titled "Effectiveness of Federal Agency Participation in Standardization in Select Technology Sectors for National Science and Technology Council's Sub-Committee on Standardization". The event is open to the general public and media and will also be available via webcast.
