by Ramona Saar October 19, 2012
The United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced that the governments of the United States and Israel have signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) for the Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment. Once implemented, Israeli regulatory authorities will accept test reports that recognized U.S. laboratories perform to determine the conformity of telecommunications equipment with Israeli technical requirements. Under the Agreement, NIST will serve as the Designating Authority of qualified U.S. laboratories to Israel.
